Advanced STEAM Machines™ Maker Camp @ ASU Poly
In this exciting hands-on residential camp for grades 7 – 10, participants will be introduced to the engineering design process while they learn and use basic science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) concepts like simple machines, electric circuits, programming and computational thinking, music, and storytelling. Participants will also have access to 3-D printers, laser cutters, Arduino microcontrollers, and a multitude of other cutting-edge technologies to add detail and complexity to their contraptions. The project-based approach will emphasize problem identification, brainstorming, problem solving, rapid prototyping, teamwork, and communication. The camp will culminate with the design and construction of a giant thematic chain-reaction machine! Note this camp is only open to students enrolled in schools on the Navajo Nation.
